Light on Recycling is a project made to teach what is recyclable or not. To achieve our goal, we decided to make an installation that reacts to input received from a mobile application. People could download the app, use it to scan the bar code or QR code on a product and then decide in which bin the item should be put in. If the right choice is made, a LED lights up in the tree. If the choice was wrong, then a light turns off.
The project was exposed at Event Horizon, Montreal 2015 and Forward Slash, 2015. The tree was also streamed live and could be seen by all the participants if interested.
Please be careful! The first 3 seconds are really high pitch!
